The teacher will provide explicit direct instruction regarding content vocabulary necessary to understand mythology in general.
Students will then work independently or with a partner to develop a PowerPoint presentation of various additional words with their roots in Greek or Roman mythology.
Students will work in small groups of 3-4 students to develop a creative presentation of a myth, and will perform that myth to teach it to the rest of the class.
The teacher will provide support and guidance in research and interpretation.
Students will provide feedback on each other's presentations, and reflect on the group work experience.
